Houston Texans Trade for Quarterback
Houston today traded for Atlanta's back-up QB Matt Schaub. I've always felt that Carr was a good quarterback and rather than getting a new quarterback, Houston should have strengthened its front line. Well, now Carr is on his way out of Houston. How do you feel about this trade? Was Carr the problem for Houston's offense? Will Schaub improve the team? What team do you think Carr will be most useful to. Although it's hard to replace a quarterback who went to the Superbowl, and i do like Grossman, I think Chicago should go after Carr. Now that Houston's admitted they want to trade Carr, other teams will not have to offer much, especially teams like Chicago which already have a quarterback in place, but might be looking to improve.
Did the houston texans draft correctly?
In taking Mario Williams number one in the NFL draft...did houston make the correct decision...should they have taken Reggie Bush or vince Young? What do you think?
Matt Schaub Oops He Did It Again
When the Houston Texans got Matt Schaub from the Atlanta Falcons they thought the David Carr error was over and their quarterback problems were solved. Unfortunately for Schaub and the Texans, keeping their star QB on the field for all 16 games in the regular season has been impossible.Last night during the Texans, Vikings game Schab was injured running out of bounds. He stayed in the game with an apparent ankle injury. While it appears Schaub will be able to start in the season opener, Texans fans have to be thinking, not again. Will this guy ever be able to last a full season. Mabye the Texans should have tried to get Favre the almost 40 year old who could teach Schaub a think or two about staying healthy. With Rosenfel gone, if and probably when Schaub goes down, the Texans better hope Orlovsky will be ready.
Indianapolis Kills Houston
Can you believe that Indianapolis-Houston game? I didn't see the first half because I had to work, but I was sure the Texans were going to upset the Colts. I couldn't believe it. Then in the last 2 minutes Houston just falls apart and Indianapolis takes advantage and makes THREE touchdowns. Did anyone see this game? Was it crazy or what?
Well Look Whose Playing Like a #1 Pick, Mario Williams
Well, it looks like maybe the Texans did know something when they drafted Mario Williams with the #1 pick. Super Mario had 3 1/2 sacks in last night's game. He showcased for the football world his talent.Way to go Mario.
Broncos vs. Texans Tomorrow Night
The Denver Broncos play the Houston Texans tomorrow night. Matt Schaub will probably miss another game because of his shoulder injury. Although, Sage Rosenfels played well, and has won both games he's started for the Texans this year.Should be a good game.
Texans Keep Buccaneers From Clinching Their Division
The Houston Texans beat the Tampa Bay Bucs dropping the Bucs to 8-5 and preventing them from clinching the division. The Bucs were without starter Jeff Garcia and you figure they'll be able to win the division once Garcia is back.
Another Game Another Schaub Injury
Matt Schaub was injured again in today's action. Do you think Schaub has been a disappointment to the Texans, and is he the long term answer?
QB David Carr Kicked To The Curb
I am really pissed that the Houston Texans have signed two new quarterbacks and kicked David Carr to the curb. I realize that he has the reputation as the most sacked quarterback in the NFL but with that comes proof that he is an outstanding athlete and team player. Not once has he spoken out against his team or given up on his efforts to make plays. But let's face it, it's kinda' hard to complete long passes or passes in general while lying on the ground.
Would You Break the Law to See a Dying Family Member?
I know we all should follow traffic laws at all times, but there are times where you just have to break it. I heard on the radio yesterday that a Houston Texans football player Ryan Moats ran a red light to see his dying mother in the hospital and was stopped by a police officer right infront of the hospital. Instead of letting him go see her, he interrogated him and did not let him go in to see her until it was too late. She died before he could say goodbye. Do you think there is some racism here? The police officer was a white man and Moats was a African American man. In the police car video, you can hear Moats pleading with the officer and the officer was just being extremely rude to him. Despite all of this, the police officer defended his actions by saying he was just doing his job. That is ridiculous! That police officer has no common sense and should be fired immediately. You can see the police video on Yahoo. It is pretty disturbing.
