Discussions about Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hats| Great win against the Bucs | | I know a lot of football analysts were picking Tampa Bay to win, so it was good to see the Giants win. It was very, very pleasing because the bar I was at was filled with tons of Eagles fans. The Giants have played great on the road this year. Next up is Dallas. If New York could pull this one out, it would be amazing. I swear if they make the Super Bowl, I'm going. It's been too long.
| | Texans Keep Buccaneers From Clinching Their Division | | The Houston Texans beat the Tampa Bay Bucs dropping the Bucs to 8-5 and preventing them from clinching the division. The Bucs were without starter Jeff Garcia and you figure they'll be able to win the division once Garcia is back. | |
| | Who will be the top 5 picks in the NFL Draft? | | Ok I will give you the teams along with my predictions. I'm just interested in what you all think! Oh and remember Cleveland and Tampa are flipping next year for 3rd pick.
My Picks
1. Oakland Raiders - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
One thing Oakland has never had is a mobile quarterback that throws better than he can run. This would be a great pick for Oakland.
2. Detroit Lions - Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State
Troy Smith showed what he could do this year and has won the Heisman Trophy. I personally believe Russell is a better QB on a worse team right now so I think Troy Smith will be chosen 2nd.
3. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
Cleveland has a young QB, a veteran line, a productive RB, a tight end, and 3 good WR so now it is time to beef up the defense. Who better than the 2 time Jim Thorpe award winner.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
I think Calvin Johnson will leave for the draft this year and do a great job in the draft. Tampa Bay has some Old receivers and its time to start a new Generation of them. I believe Johnson is the best receiver in the draft right now.
5. Washington Redskins - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn StatePaul Posluszny...
| | *** What Do You Call THEM?*** | | What do you call them, We all seem to break down names so it sounds catchy.I know the Jacksonville Jaguars are known as the "JAGS"
and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are known as the "BUCS"
So I ask what does that make the Tennessee Titans?HICCUP/
| | I'm bummed out! My team lost today! | | My team the Green Bay Packers lost to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers! We looked good at the start and the Bucs didn't give up! Our offense let us down and put our defense in a hole! When that happen Tampa's rookie QB got better and better! Next we got Dallas! Great! We need this game! Big time! | |
| | NFL is coming!! | | Is anyone getting excited that the season will be starting in just over a month?? Is there any games that you are looking forward to seeing now that the schedules have been posted. I am very excited for the first 2 weeks. Week 1 will feature the monday night game between the Buffalo Bills(my team) and the New England Patriots. The game is being hyped because of the WR matchup of Terrell Owens and Randy Moss. I am also excited for week 2 because i will be traveling back home to Buffalo to see them play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers | |
| | Starting Quartback | | For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they have at least 4 Quarterbacks, and only 3 slots. Byron Leftwich is a great leader and a good pocket passer, but is to injury prone. Luke McCown is the quarterback that can make plays with his feet, but not a good pocket passer. Josh Freeman is the rookie, he's hard to bring down but like all rookies needs experience to get good quick. And Josh Johnson is the last one, a very smart quarterback stills needs to see the field to get a good evaluation. Out of all these quarterbacks, which one will be the odd man out, and the other question is which one will start? | |
| | Does anyone gamble on football? | | I do online gambling. Today I did a 5 team parlay for $5. Not a whole lot of money, but if all 5 teams win and cover the point spread, I win $125. I just finished watching tampa bay vs seattle seahawks. Every team I picked won today, and the Tampa bay buccaneers were the last team on my parlay picks. they were 10 and a half point favorites. for those of you who don't understand, that means they have to win the game by more than 10 points to cover the point spread. They were up 17-3 with a little under 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter. They had the ball inside their own 30 yard line, and it looked like they were setting themselves up to score another touchdown. This would have made it 24-3. But what does John gruden do? He runs the ball maybe 6 or 7 straight times. As I'm watching this, I then realize that he is playing conservative, and setting his team up to kick a field goal. This is the type of thing most coaches do when they're in overtime and they are in field goal range. They call a bunch of run plays instead of passing plays to prevent an interception. The 1st team to score inn overtime wins in the game of football for those whomay not know. The point I'm trying to make, is... | |

| | A little less cheerful | |
The Lions probably aren't feeling so thankful as they head into their Thanksgiving Day game against Miami without running back Kevin Jones and defensive tackle Shaun Rogers. The Dolphins have issues of their own as they try to overcome a banged-up secondary. In other Thursday action, the Cowboys and Bucs have an assortment of minor injuries to deal with while the Broncos and Chiefs could be without a handful of starters for their showdown. Let's go to the injury report and find out who's in, who's out and who might be getting signed! QUARTERBACKDonovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list with a torn ACL in his right knee. McNabb hopes to be healthy for the start of next season, but his rehab could extend into the early portion of the 2007 campaign. Jeff Garcia will be under center for Sunday's game against Indianapolis but a final decision hasn't been made on whether they'll stick with him or eventually play A.J. Feeley.
